The Worldschooling Hack That Turned Historic Sites Into Our Kid’s Favourite Activity

There’s a moment we’ve started noticing on this trip that honestly surprised us.

We’ll arrive somewhere like the Taj Mahal, or another historic site that adults are clearly meant to stand back and quietly admire… and instead of the usual “how long are we staying here?” or “can we go now?”, Jax is already asking if he can do “his tour.”

And it all started with one simple hack.

Not a fancy app. Not a guided headset. Just ChatGPT and a slightly unusual prompt.

The problem we were trying to solve

If you travel with kids, you’ll know this feeling.

Historic places are incredible… but for children they can quickly become:

• “just another building”
• a lot of standing around listening to adults talk
• information that doesn’t quite land because it’s not delivered in a way that makes sense to them

We didn’t want Jax to miss out on these places, but we also didn’t want him to just tolerate them either.

We wanted him to actually experience them.
